Stefanie has been playing drums since she was in middle school – and will definitely be playing well into old age! She was classically trained in marching band percussion and jazz trumpet. Today she applies that foundation as the drummer and singer in a heavy rock band that started thirteen years ago! Her band is called Caustic Casanova and they’ve played with Helena’s band Akris many times! Both bands have toured all over the country. Stefanie has taught drums and songwriting classes at Girls Rock DC! and has experience teaching drums to kids and adults of all ages and skill levels at private studios. Caustic Casanova has released original heavy rock albums on their own record label, and also currently through other labels, and has worked closely with artists on executing album art designs that encapsulate the spirit of the record. She’s incredibly excited to be involved, at least in a small way, in Berryville and Sterling’s burgeoning music communities, and to help The Goldberg School of Music actualize the creation of an entirely student-run record label! She lives in Frederick, MD, works at the 9:30 Club in Washington, DC, and enjoys running, biking, reading, creating music and attending shows in her free time.
